Ingredients
  

  • 15.25 oz yellow cake mix dry, do not prepare
  • 21 oz lemon pie filling 1 can
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • Grease a 6-quart slow cooker thoroughly with cooking spray.
  • In a bowl, mix lemon pie filling, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract until mostly smooth.
  • Spread dry cake mix evenly across the bottom of the slow cooker. Do not stir.
  • Pour the lemon mixture evenly over the dry cake mix. Do not mix or stir.
  • Cover and cook on HIGH for about 2.5 hours or LOW for 4 hours. Avoid opening the lid during the first 1.5 hours.
  • Once edges are set and bubbling and the center is slightly glossy, turn off heat and let sit covered for 15–20 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Avoid stirring before cooking to maintain the signature layered texture.
