Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon buttermilk ranch seasoning mix dry
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and buttermilk until smooth and fully combined.
  • Add the ranch seasoning mix, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder and cayenne pepper. Whisk until the dressing is creamy and evenly mixed.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Stir, then serve as a dip, salad dressing or sandwich sauce.

Notes

For a thinner dressing, whisk in a splash more buttermilk after chilling. Double the cayenne for a spicy ranch. Keep refrigerated and do not leave out more than 2 hours; use within 3 to 4 days (FSIS leftovers rule). Do not freeze.
