Ingredients
  

  • 4 tablespoons butter softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 can crushed pineapple 20 ounces; drained
  • 5 slices white bread torn into small pieces

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Cream the softened butter and sugar together in a mixing bowl.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing until smooth.
  • Mix in the drained crushed pineapple. Tear the bread into small pieces and gently fold it into the mixture.
  • Transfer to the prepared dish and bake for 1 hour, until the mixture is set, the bread is golden brown, and the center reaches 165°F on a food thermometer.

Notes

Serve as a sweet side dish with ham. Refrigerate leftovers within 2 hours in shallow, covered containers. Refrigerate for 3 to 4 days or freeze for 3 to 4 months. Thaw in the refrigerator and reheat in an oven or microwave to 165°F; do not reheat leftovers in a slow cooker.
