Frequently Asked Questions:

Can I use regular-sized M&M’s instead of mini M&M’s?

Absolutely! Feel free to use regular-sized M&M’s if that’s what you have on hand. The mini M&M’s offer a cute, petite look, but the flavor will be equally delightful with the larger ones.

Can I make these bars in advance for a party?

Definitely! These bars can be made a day or two in advance. Store them in the refrigerator until you’re ready to serve, ensuring they stay fresh and delicious for your guests.

No-Bake Chex Bars. Imagine a blend of Chocolate Chex, small pretzels, and vibrant mini M&M's, all bound together by a luscious mixture of butter, creamy peanut butter, and marshmallow fluff.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups small pretzels
  • 3 cups Chocolate Chex
  • 1 cup mini M&M's
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3 cups marshmallow fluff*

Instructions

  1. Line a 9x9-inch pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray it with non-stick spray.
  2. In a large bowl, toss together the pretzels, Chocolate Chex, and mini M&M's.
  3. In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and peanut butter together. Turn off the heat and mix in the marshmallow fluff until smooth and well combined.
  4. Pour the marshmallow fluff mixture over the pretzel and Chex mixture in the bowl. Stir with a wooden spoon to coat the dry ingredients evenly.
  5. Transfer the mixture into the prepared pan and press it out with your hands, smoothing it into an even layer. If the mixture sticks to your hands, wet them slightly to make pressing easier.
  6. Cover the pan with plastic wrap and refrigerate the bars until firm, for at least 2 hours or until set.
  7. Once the bars are firm, remove them from the refrigerator. Use the foil or parchment paper overhang to lift the bars out of the pan and place them on a cutting board.
  8. Cut the chilled mixture into 9 squares, using a sharp knife.
  9. Store the No-Bake Chex Bars in the refrigerator in an airtight container, where they can be kept for up to a week.

Notes

For a festive touch, use seasonal or holiday-themed M&M's to add a pop of color to your bars.
